Uncle & Aunt from Pangkor (Ta Jiu & Dua Kim) came to Penang on Friday to visit us and another uncle (Siao Jiu). As usual, we will go for dinner everytime when they come over. Siao Jiu will always be the one that fight to pay for the dinner. So this time, mom and Da Jiu "pakat" to pay for the dinner. They even warned Siao Jiu, "If you insist to pay, then we dont want to go dinner then". As a result, Siao Jiu got no choice, but to obey. So, off we went for dinner yesterday to this restaurant called
Da Ban Chinese Restaurant (中国风味馆) at Jalan Zainal Abidin, Penang. It's a kinda nice restaurant with Chinese decorated ambience. The food is good too with reasonable price. The only thing that is pricey will be fresh seafood (live). Those were calculated per kg. We had an excellent meal by bringing an empty stomach each and brought back home a rounded tummy. (^_^)/

Garoupa Fish Cook with Dried Chilli and Spices |
The dinner cost us a total of RM214.70, including rice and drinks. As I've said, the most expensive was the fish because the whole garoupa weighted 1.3kg, and the price per kg is RM90. LOL.
Afterall, the food was fantastic. It's a place you should try!
Yummy! Garoupa, is that Grouper?
